Liabilities are handled by means of dispute resolution. Dispute Resolution Policy documents the process and rules of Arbitration. CCA asserts own jurisdiction under Arbitration Act and refers disputes to internal Arbitration under rules in DRP Civil liabilities of contract nature are generally addressable under Arbitration Act. CAcert includes itself fully within the Community and under the jurisdiction of Dispute Resolution Policy. In DRP2.1, "The Board of CAcert and the Users vest in Arbitrators full authority to hear disputes and deliver rulings which are binding on CAcert and the Users." Liabilities for Members are limited to €1000 in CCA2.1. Although not explicitly stated, this could be a a limit on the CA.
